Life in the Metaverse

What about all this talk on some sort of a new 3D (0) …………. reality?  Without a doubt, there’s been a lot of hype (17) ………… the popular, and some might say, a somewhat (18) ………….. idea of what’s been titled the “metaverse”.

The internet as we now know it may be on the cusp of a (19) ………… and innovative (20) ………….., and virtual reality does seem like it is to play a vital role as part of the next (21) ………….. of new technologies.

Whilst the technology of virtual reality most certainly looks both (22) ………….. and revolutionary we also ought to be wary as to serious concerns over user privacy, addiction, and most importantly – our safety.  

Needless to say, the advantages of ever-improving technologies normally (23) ……………. the disadvantages, however, that does not mean we should not take a cautionary approach to the metaverse, that is, being (24) …………… of the possible dangers that may lie under the facade of what might seem to be a sparkling new virtual world.
